Datuk Johan Jaafar (is the other JJ) and his lovely wife visited the Cafe last Saturday, 14 June 2008. Someone in the family said "he looks familiar." Yes, he is a familiar face on TV. Lets read about this interesting man--who became the Group Chief Editor of Utusan Melayu (M) Berhad at the age of 39. Perhaps he will write about our Cafe in his next column ;-)
Thank you and hope you come and visit us again Datuk.

Sdr Anis,
I tried to post a comment on your The Cafe@Lui blog, but it's more tedious than I expected. So, here's my comment, you can past or post it there if you want.
Salam,
That's not fair. Anis purposely
1. paste a pix that shows he's much larger than me, which he is, and taller, but he made me a midget standing next to him!
2. I thought I have that Brad Pitt look -well, the pix is not doing
justice to the orang punya badan.
To all the orang dapur of the Cafe@Lui, I have to make a confession: Great place you got there. I love the asam pedas, being a full-blooded Muarian
that I am I can't resist the temptation of tasting it. Wow! Sampai menghirup licin.
Yeah, there are two types of editors in the country, ex-editors and axed-editors. I belong to the latter. No, I've not really tinggalkan the incredible world of surat khabar. Still writing for the NST and Berita Minggu. And when Anis pleaded, cajoled and threatened me, I came out with an
essay on Mudhalvan and the ethics of newspapering and other matters. Hush! Anis did that to Prof Datuk Shamsul as well! Anyway, I am proud to be associated with the making of that book published by Institut Integriti Malaysia. Salam. - Th one and only JJ
